Your day to day is…
  • Provide day to day assistance with Billing and Collections workflows
  • Execute manual Billing processes
  • Resolve internal escalations for the team
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide a seamless billing to payment process for our clients
  • Assist with and execute the month end close process for invoice creation across all account segments
  • Review and record all incoming cash to our designated Accounts Receivable bank accounts
  • Own the Cash Application process by applying all manual payments, reviewing automated Cash Application Manager (CAM) transactions, and reconciling payment and credit transactions
  • Create and maintain weekly Accounts Receivable reports and review with Billing Operations Manager
  • Collaborate with the Billing Operations Manager on customer billing requests
  • Assist with creation, maintenance and adherence to Company billing policies
  • Answer ad hoc questions from throughout the organization related to collections and billing
  • Identify areas of improvement in Zocdoc's billing system and collaborate with the Product team on enhancements
You'll be successful in this role if you have…
  • Bachelor's Degree (Business, Accounting, or related discipline preferred)
  • 1-3 years of experience in Billing Operations, and/or Collections
  • Strong problem solving skills and an interest in continuous process improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, with advanced skills in Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with all levels and cross-functionality across the organization
  • Ability to recognize problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions and effectively present information to managers, peers and third parties
  • Experience with accounting ERP systems in previous role(s) (NetSuite and Salesforce experience preferred)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Driven to work in a fast-paced environment with strong project management skills and a fierce entrepreneurial spirit
