About the position:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced graphic designer to lead in-house creative development of print and digital collateral as well as work directly with external vendors on creative projects. Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing, you will manage projects with quick turnarounds, drive creative excellence and play a key role in helping AKF meet brand marketing objectives to advance AKFs mission to fight kidney disease and help people live healthier lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee in-house creative development and the creation and execution of captivating design concepts for a wide range of marketing campaigns and materials including digital media, print collateral, event materials, social media graphics, creative video elements and more.
  • Work with teams, sponsors and external agencies in design and creative execution that supports AKF's brand, mission and partnership goals.
  • Ensure all creative assets maintain consistency in quality, messaging, and brand integrity across all platforms and materials.
  • Develop and execute innovative brand marketing strategies that resonate with our target audience and support fundraising, corporate partnerships, advocacy, and educational initiatives.
  • Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, often with tight deadlines, utilizing project tracking systems and workflow processes to streamline design requests, approvals, and production timelines.
  • Stay current with design trends and technologies and regularly innovate and introduce new ideas to elevate AKF's visual identity and marketing effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or related field
  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, with proven leadership experience and a track record of guiding teams through creative processes (management experience is a plus)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work, including marketing campaigns, fundraising materials, digital and print design, and brand collateral
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership in project management with strong communication, decision-making and PC skills including Adobe Creative Suite and design software proficiency including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint and Canva
  • Hands-on in design, highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle priorities, meet deadlines, collaborate effectively with staff and stakeholders at all levels and align design efforts with broader organizational goals
  • Prior non-profit and/or special event design experience including invitations and signage is a big plus

Benefits:
