Dignity Health is a part of CommonSpirit , one of the nation's largest health systems dedicated to advancing health for all people. #HEC Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive, high-acuity care to patients in the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU). Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology, anesthesia, and critical care colleagues to optimize patient outcomes. Perform advanced procedures, including intubation, central and arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, and pulmonary artery catheterization. Manage mechanical circulatory support systems such as Impella, ECMO, and LVAD, as well as vasoactive/inotropic infusions and ventilator support. Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based protocols and clinical pathways tailored to complex cardiac patients. Participate in departmental case reviews, strategy meetings, and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure meticulous and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record system. Support academic and research initiatives, including participation in clinical trials and cardiac care innovation. Qualifications Fellowship training in Cardiac Critical Care, Surgical Critical Care , or Anesthesia Critical Care is required. Candidates with Advanced Heart Failure (AHF) training and additional critical care experience within their fellowship will be considered. Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology, Advanced Heart Failure , or Critical Care Medicine (Medical, Surgical, or Anesthesia).
