Our client is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team!
Summary:
The Data Analyst I is responsible for collecting data from different sources and analyzing results with the objective of identifying trends, detecting problem areas, and helping make better decisions for supported tolling systems. Candidate will develop reports for performance indicators that will provide operations with overall system health, early detection of problem areas, and will support monitoring needs. Candidate will also collaborate with other team members in the development of new procedures geared to improve the quality and performance of systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs.
Write report stored procedures, design/modify/support database tables, create and modify reports using Power BI.
Collecting, interpreting data, and analyzing data
Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business
Defining new data collection and analysis processes
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources
Create detailed reports or PowerPoint presentations to Management to show any anomalies or impacts to revenue.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using statistical
Locate and define new process improvement
Discover new and ongoing issues; take steps to remediate promptly to limit revenue loss and provide ongoing reports.
Filter and âcleanâ data by reviewing reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Work with team members to provide precise information
Develop root cause analysis and reports
Education:
Bachelorâs degree in Business, Computer Science or related field
Required Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst or similar
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in SQL Server and T-SQL
Experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
Ability to analyze a large dataset,
Experience in writing complex T-SQL commands and scripts.
Ability to write comprehensive reports, adept at queries and presenting
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent knowledge in presenting data with different BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau
An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
Attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
