Our client is seeking a unique candidate for a new role Director of Senior Living Business Operations. Director of Senior Living Business Operations is a senior leadership role that integrates enterprise project management with executive-level strategic operations. This position ensures the delivery of complex initiatives, supports executive leadership with operational excellence, and drives alignment across the organization to achieve business goals.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Experience Officer, operates with little supervision, taking the CXO’s key priorities and selects, scopes and completes projects to fulfill them. This role will expand the CXO’s time and influence on cross-functional projects, optimize their time, and take key priorities and select, scope and complete projects to fulfill them.

Responsibilities

Strategic Executive Operations & Advisory

  • Support the Chief Experience Officer and Executive Leadership Team in advancing strategic priorities and initiatives
  • Assists in preparing Board of Directors materials for Senior Living Committees, executive briefings, and organizational reports with precision and clarity
  • Manage relationships and communications with external partners, stakeholders, and agencies on behalf of CXO leadership
  • Coordinate strategic projects and special initiatives directly overseen by the CXO
  • Thought partner to leadership, managing by engagement and influence across the senior leadership team.
  • Creates updates, presentations, speeches, conference submissions, and communication on behalf of the CXO

Organizational Leadership & Collaboration

  • Foster collaboration and alignment across departments, business units, and geographic locations
  • Represent the executive office in leadership meetings, steering committees, and governance bodies on behalf of the CXO
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within project teams
  • Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational objectives
  • Provide consultation and thought leadership to senior leaders on project and change management strategies
  • Strong operation and strategy, and ability to drive business insights and operational improvement

Senior Living Project & Program Management

  • Lead multiple Senior Living-wide projects and programs from concept to completion interacting with senior stakeholders on cross-functional projects.
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Management department related to Senior Living projects:
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders
  • Develop and manage project charters, work breakdown structures, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues
  • Track project performance using appropriate tools, analytics, and KPIs
  • Scope, own, and manage projects to completion
  • Runs special projects that are urgent and of importance, sometimes with high visibility in the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Clinical Specialty, or Healthcare Management (Master’s preferred)
  • 7–10 years of experience in program/project management, executive support, or corporate strategy
  • 5-10 years in Healthcare industry, preferably Senior Living
  • PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certification strongly preferred
  • Experience working directly with C-level executives and Boards

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Deep expertise in project and program management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Advanced problem-solving, critical thinking, and business process improvement capabilities
  • Strong executive presence, interpersonal skills, and stakeholder management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage highly confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet) and reporting dashboards
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, senior populations, with compassion and cultural intelligence
  • Ability to utilize software and applications including: Point Click Care, On Shift, UKG, Kronos, Board Effect
