Director of Digital Marketing

Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite in Long Beach, CA

Open to Temp to Hire or Freelance (40 hours a week)

A fashion-forward lifestyle brand is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing to lead its end-to-end digital strategy across ecommerce, email, paid media, social, and loyalty. This role is both strategic and hands-on, ideal for a leader who thrives in big-picture planning and day-to-day execution.

You'll co-lead brand and digital planning alongside marketing leadership, manage internal teams and agencies, and drive performance across all customer and stylist touchpoints. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite in Long Beach and is open to both full-time and interim candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Channel Leadership

  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies that align with seasonal brand goals and long-term growth
  • Lead planning across web, email, paid media, social, loyalty, influencer marketing, and digital events
  • Translate business objectives into actionable channel KPIs and plans

Web & Email

  • Oversee ecommerce strategy, CRO, on-site content, and user experience
  • Lead email marketing, including automation flows, segmentation, and personalization

Social & Paid Media

  • Set content, engagement, and performance strategies across platforms
  • Oversee organic/paid campaigns, influencer/creator initiatives, and channel testing

Loyalty & Audience Engagement

  • Co-develop and launch loyalty programs and audience retention strategies
  • Guide lifecycle content, referral marketing, and user experience touchpoints

Analytics & Innovation

  • Own digital reporting and insights across all channels
  • Identify opportunities to scale innovation, AI tools, and automation

Team & Budget Oversight

  • Manage a high-performing internal team and agency partners
  • Own digital budget forecasting, allocation, and vendor management

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align digital initiatives with Creative, Sales, IT, Merchandising, and Design for consistent omnichannel execution

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in digital marketing with increasing leadership responsibilities
  • Deep expertise across ecommerce, email, social, paid media, and loyalty
  • Strong background in analytics, performance reporting, and project management
  • Experience in fashion, lifestyle, or direct selling/franchise environments a plus
  • Proficient with tools like Shopify, Sailthru, GA4, Tableau, Meta Ads, and Sprout Social
