Job Title: Full-Time Nanny

Location: Aquia Harbor, VA

Position Type: Full-Time

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM – during school season

Summers and breaks, 9:00am-6:00 pm
( Occasional evenings and weekends as needed )

Pay: Depending upon experience. 1099 preferred. W2 available for discussion

Position Overview:

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced full-time nanny to care for our two children — a newborn and a 7-year-old — in our home in Aquia Harbor, VA. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children, a proactive and patient personality, and the ability to manage the differing needs of a newborn and an elementary-aged child. The candidate must also be comfortable working in a home with dogs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, compassionate care for a newborn and a 7-year-old.
  
• Plan age-appropriate activities, games, and outings for both children.
  
• Prepare meals and snacks for the children.
  
• Assist with light housekeeping related to the children (tidying play areas, washing bottles, children’s laundry, etc.)
  
• Safely transport the 7-year-old to/from activities or school as needed.
  
• Follow established routines, including naptime, feeding schedules, and schoolwork.
  
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding daily activities, milestones, and any concerns.
  
• Be available for occasional nights and weekends with advance notice.
  

Qualifications:

• CPR and First Aid Certified (infant and child)
  
• Up to date on all vaccinations
  
• Clean driving record
  
• Able to pass a comprehensive background check
  
• Experience caring for both infants and school-aged children preferred
  
• Reliable transportation
  
• Comfortable working in a home with dogs
  
• Strong communication and organizational skills
  
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  

Additional Information:

This is a 1099 contractor position (W2 is open for discussion) with pay depending on experience. Candidate must be comfortable with a household with varied routines and occasional scheduling needs outside regular hours.
